PTT’S DATA PROTECTION POLICY



PeTra Technologies Pte Ltd (PTT) hereinafter collectively referred to as “PTT”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” as required in context. This is PTT's data protection policy for all our customers and users of our website, products and/or services. 

The purpose of this document (the "Data Protection Policy") is to inform you of how we manage Personal Data which is subject to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) as may be changed from time to time (the "Act"). Please read this Data Protection Policy so that you know and understand the purposes for which we collect, use and disclose your Personal Data. 

By interacting with us, submitting information to us, or signing up for any of the Products and Services, offered by us, you agree and consent to PTT (including its related corporations and business units) (collectively, the "Companies"), as well as their respective representatives and/or agents collecting, using, disclosing and sharing amongst themselves your Personal Data, and disclosing such Personal Data to the Companies' authorised service providers and relevant third parties in the manner set forth in this Data Protection Policy.

This Data Protection Policy supplements but does not supersede nor replace any other consents you may have previously provided to us in respect of your Personal Data, and your consents herein are additional to any rights which any of the Companies may have at law to collect, use or disclose your Personal Data.

1.      Personal Data

1.1.   In this Data Protection Policy, personal data refers to any data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have, including data in our records as may be updated from time to time ("Personal Data").

1.2.    Personal Data that you may provide to us include, amongst others; your name, NRIC, passport or other identification number or information, telephone numbers, mailing address, email address, device identifiers or information and any other information relating to any individual which you have provided us in any form submitted to us, or via other forms of interaction with you.

2.    Collection of Personal Data

2.1.    We collect Personal Data in the following ways:-

2.1.1. When you submit an application form or other forms relating to any of the Products and Services we offered: 

2.1.2. When you use some of our Services, for example, websites and apps including establishing any online accounts with us;

2.1.3. When you purchase or obtain third party services through us;

2.1.4. When you respond to our promotions, initiatives or to any request for additional Personal Data;

2.1.5. When we seek information from third parties about you in connection with the Products and/or Services you have applied for: 

2.1.6. If you provide us with any Personal Data relating to a third party (e.g. information of your company, employees/employees), by submitting such information to us, you represent to us that you have obtained the consent of the third party to provide us with their Personal Data for the respective purposes set out in this Data Protection Policy.

2.1.7. You should ensure that all Personal Data submitted to us is complete, accurate, true and correct. Failure on your part to do so may result in our inability to provide you with the Products and Services you have requested.

2.1.8. Cookies, web beacon, or similar technologies may be used on our websites to collect the abovementioned information. Cookie is a small text file stored in the hard drive of your computer or terminal when you browse a website. We may use cookie for providing you with customized contents or services at the website, monitoring the use of the website, identifying you when you return to our website; and carrying out research so as to improve the contents and services of Our website. In addition, We may also permit any third party (such as network analysis tool partner, advertising company, or advertising network) to set or visit their cookie or web beacon at the website. You may reject cookie without restriction, but you probably cannot use certain functions of Our website or fully utilize all contents and services provided by Us if you do so.

3.      Purpose for the Collection, Use and Disclosure of your Personal Data

3.1.   Generally, we collect, use and disclose your Personal Data for the following purposes:

3.1.1. To manage our administrative and business operations and complying with internal policies and procedures;

2.1.2. To resolve complaints and handle requests and enquiries;

3.1.3. To prevent, detect and investigate crime and analyse and manage any commercial risks;

3.1.4. Legal purposes (including but not limited to obtaining legal advice and dispute resolution);

3.1.5. To conduct investigations relating to disputes, billing, suspected illegal activities or fraud;

3.1.6. To meet or comply with any applicable rules, laws, regulations, codes of practice or guidelines issued by any legal or regulatory bodies which are binding on us (including but not limited to responding to regulatory complaints, disclosing to regulatory bodies and conducting audit checks, due diligence and investigations);

3.1.7. To facilitate the continuation or termination of your subscription to the Products and Services (including but not limited to administering subscription management, account maintenance, account closure, processing renewal of contracts and customer relationship management);

3.1.8. To facilitate the daily operation of the Products and Services (including but not limited to billing, customer service, technical support);

3.1.9. To facilitate third party services if purchased, obtained, administered or processed through us;

3.1.10. To enforce repayment obligations (including but not limited to debt collection, filing of claims and retrieval of payments from losses made by our service partners);

3.1.11. To administer and process any insurance claims and payments arising under the respective policies;

3.1.12. To administer fee adjustments, refunds and waivers.

4.      Disclosure of Personal Data

4.1. We may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information with our partners, such as our vendors, advertisers and other service providers.

4.2. We will take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Data against unauthorised disclosure. Subject to the provisions of any applicable law, your Personal Data may be disclosed for the purpose (s) listed in this document and/or for any purpose allowed under any applicable law or regulations, to the following parties: -

4.2.1. Our related companies and employees to provide Content, Products and Services to you, address your questions and requests in relation to your customer accounts, subscription and billing arrangements with us as well as our Products and Services and to activate, deactivate, install, maintain and operate our systems and/or services;

4.2.2. Agents, contractors or third-party service providers who provide operational services to us, such as courier services, telecommunications, information technology, payment, printing, billing, payroll, processing, technical services, training, market research, call centre, security or any other services.

4.2.3. You understand that the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Data transmitted to our websites, online services and apps; any transmission is at your own risk. Additionally, we cannot assume responsibility for any unauthorised use of your Personal Data by third parties which are wholly attributable to factors beyond our control.

4.2.4. If such disclosure involves transfer of your Personal Data outside Singapore, a standard of protection that is comparable to that under this Data Protection Policy shall be provided.

5.      Withdrawal of Consent, access and correction of your Personal Data

5.1. Please be aware that once we receive confirmation that you wish to withdraw your consent for marketing or promotional materials/communication, it may take up to 30 working days for your withdrawal to be reflected in our systems. In the meantime, you may still receive marketing or promotional materials/communication from us. Please note that even if you withdraw your consent for the receipt of marketing or promotional materials, we may still contact you for other purposes in relation to the Products and Services that you hold or have subscribed to with us.

5.3. If you withdraw your consent to any or all use of your Personal Data, depending on the nature of your request, we may not be in a position to continue to provide the Products and Services to you or administer any contractual relationship that is already in place, which in turn may result in the termination of any agreements that you have with us, resulting in you being in breach of your contractual obligations or undertakings. PTT’s legal rights and remedies in such event are expressly reserved.

6.      Governing Law
This Data Protection Policy is governed by Singapore law.
